Pema Ts’al School, Mundgod, India: Admission/13th batch of new students with traditional ceremony
Tibetan Colony—-Fitted with New Hearing Aids Due to the Generosity of The Starkey Foundation
The Mundgod Starkey Mission was successfully concluded around 3PM
today. About 315 people showed up and went with wide satisfied smile
back home. It was great to meet Bill Austin Brady, Mark and all the
Starkey team. They have a great job and it is one of my greatest day
today. After the finishing all, we have a simple lunch at 3:30 and my
students were fortunate to present two Tibetan songs as a gesture to
thank Bill and the team on behalf of Tibetan people of Mundgod.
I am glad that I have a very good talk with Bill Austin and he had
accepted to extend the Starkey Hearing Aid to other four Tibetan
settlements in Karnataka and given me the nod to go ahead with the
preliminary process. He thought of coming to India again in November.
Warmest regards,
Guru Gyaltsen

Tashi Delek!
We are having wonderful celebration of the inaugural ceremony. We had the consecration ceremony of the new temple through Hey-Vajra Rituals day before yesterday for the whole day and yesterday we had the opening ceremony of the temple, Namgyal Stupa, Dr. Tom Roberts Dental Clinic and The Faanya and Robert Rose Library by HH the Sakya Trizin Rinpoche. The Tibetan, Nepali and Mustangis cultural dance and song show were performed in the afternoon. The main attraction of the show was Mr. Tsering Gyurme la, one of the most popular singers of exile Tibetan communities. The special dinner was organized later in the evening as requested by Ven Khenpo Pema Wangdak la on the happy occasion of offering Khenpo designation to Ven Lama Kunga la by His Holiness. Tsering Gyurme and some other singers performed again during the dinner time. His Eminence Ratna Vajra Rinpoche was the chief guest of the dinner night. Rinpoche congratulated Pema Ts’al and Ven Khenpo Kunga la in special for receiving Khenpo designation. Today on 9th March, HE gave teachings on Karma and Satva for one and half hours in the morning. His Holiness is going to bestow the Long-life Initiation and Phurba Torwang in the afternoon. We had above 2600 participants yesterday and today we are expecting its double figure. We have Vajrakilaya Toele lama dance performance in the morn by the monks of Lo-Manthang Choeddhe Monastery in the morn and Mele in the afternoon by Pema Ts’al monks on 10th March.
I will give you more detail report when the celebration finishes.
Faithfully yours,
